Brighton Inshore Fishing - Catch report 23rd May 2019

The final session with Duncan before he began his long trek back up the road to sunny Shropshire. I had quite high hopes when we came out to a far less green sea. Reasonably quickly we dropped onto some fish. Not crazy fishing, but quite fun. Nothing table sized, although they were down there, as one did accompany a hooked schoolie to the surface.

Then, as more craft exited the marina, and more hooked fish were returned, the shoal drifted away. Off to play. Snag is, it wasnt so good. No real session saver. At best, I can describe the session as mediocre. Small reward for all of Duncan's efforts. However, I think he appreciated, as a well traveled angler, that sometimes nature steals it away, perhaps more often than she gives it away in these modern times.

2nd sailing and out with regular Jon. We headed out into a much changed sea. The new flood had focused the rot in a well defined channel, and either side, far clearer water. It reflected in the session. Actually quite busy at times. Im done with counting bass precisely, but we had a fair few. Best session for a while.  Some quality fish also. Biggest as held by Jon in the piccy returned, but he did snag a perfect table fish for tea also . Quite a contrast from the mornings happenings. Thats fishing...

Still got spaces. Forecast deteriorated for Sunday and Monday currently, but great for tomorrow, and good for Saturday. Check out our facebook page BRIGHTON INSHORE FISHING for the latest availability. 07970 112774 to get on board.
