A glorious dawn
Just one customer for this mornings sailing, mainly due to the fact that I am an idiot and forgot to publicise the sailing until the last moment. An old friend from many Essex adventures, this was Nigels 2nd trip aboard BIF1. We slipped out of the marina ahead of the sunrise, and headed straight back to the scene of yesterdays successes, carefully peering for net markers in the gloom. Arriving unscathed, it was straight in with the HTO mighty minnows.
Best fish of the day
Fish were there from the off, but it took a couple of pokey moves around the spot to find good numbers. A lot of smaller fish around today. And no sign of wrasse, or pollack, although a very pretty Gurnard was a first for Nigel on a lure. The bass counter clicked steadily away, and sadly we had to be back in sharp, as Nigel had to go and meet his son from Gatwick. By the time we re-entered the marina, the bass counter was on 39, with the biggest, around the 4lb mark to Nigel.
Im working ashore tomorrow (Wednesday) but if there is interest enough, happy to do a 13:00 to 17:00 sailing. Thursday is fully booked. Friday I have 2 spaces for first sailing (06:30) and 4 spaces for the afternoon (12:00 sailing). Saturday and Sunday are also looking viable with NNW winds meaning very fishable inshore... 07970 112774 to get on board...
