Just the one sailing today, due to the need to be ashore in the afternoon for life stuff. I was worried we wouldnt be able to get to the scene of recent good fishing, as the forecast was for pretty strong NE winds. However, the actual winds were way less to begin with, so it was not a problem at all, especially with the combination of wind with tide. Made drift speeds reasonable despite a sluggish tidal coefficient. With me regulars Richard and David, and new to BIF1, Michael and Ed.

However, in the way that bass do things, they did things. Moving away from that area things, with just one decent fish around 3lb for Ed. But I had plan b. with the wind coming up a bit, I decided we would go elsewhere. Especially as Ed and Michael were keen to fish squid as well, as this spot is a good squid spot also. And here, another two table bass landed, to Richard and David, plus more smalls bringing the total to 8 landed, three killed. And Michael and Ed enjoyed bagging up on squid very much. A most enjoyable session, with the seas completely to ourselves.
