Just managed to get the early trip in before wind came along to mess up the rest of the day. With me Washington, Breno, Andy and Richard. Fishing was over the bottom end of the tide. Some days the area we fished responds well to the lack of flow. This was not one of those days. Just six bass landed, with two for the table. Not terrible, for the three hours, but not the best either. On the way back the white horses began flicking their manes, which usually means winds increasing, which was expected later in the day. Assuming they had come early I cancelled the rest of the days sailings. So, of course, once I had cleaned down the boat, the wind had once again calmed off. It is a very frustrating game at times, being a charter skipper.
