Brighton Inshore Fishing - Catch report 16th November 2025

ree

A bit of a cock up day really. Which was a shame, especially the early cock up as the fishing was good, and more rods on board would have seen a greater tally, and more smiles. Although Dave and I did smile a real lot. And we had plenty of space to spread our big smiles. How did this happen? A sudden loss of oil pressure on the M25 removed 2 of my guys. And confusion as to what "next Sunday" actually means took out another. End result - 12 bass to Dave and I. 6 each I seem to remember. Best to my rod, at 70cm

Second sailing started with a bit more positivity, as all turned up. So, neptune threw a spanner in the works. 20 squid and a bass in the first hour of hunting bass... (yes... thats the problem at the moment. If the bassing is slow, squid are the new mackerel...) and then the wind absolutely screamed making lure fishing useless, and leaving me with no choice but to return to port. Very frustrating.
