I was very much in two minds about the first sailing today. Forecast was not good, with 14 gusting 25 NE winds. Good direction, but that is a lot of blow. However, after good results in tight in similar conditions yesterday, I decided to call it on. Just the first as the wind slips more E and SE said that forecast, later in the day. (This happened. Proper bouncy out there as I write this) But, this morning was closer to 8 gusting 10 mph. With me, Charlie, Jamie, Miles and Andy.

Two other differences from the previous day's good fishing. Bright sunshine and suddenly small tide. These did seem to combine. There were simply a lot less fish around today than the same time yesterday. The problem with bass, you see, is they have fins. And they use them. Well, actually we can hang it on the food sources. If there is not enough food to go around, they will keep on moving. End result, just five fish landed, with two killed. Both the keepers by Charlie. Lucky pants or something I reckon... One space available on tomorrows (Monday) 0600 sailing. Text 07970 112774 if that is for you.
