Brighton Inshore Fishing - Catch report 17th August 2026

A single sailing today with wind robbing the rest of it. And it looks the next few days as well. I must admit it will be nice to not set an 0400 alarm for a change tomorrow. 0600 should be plenty... Just two rods aboard today for a whole boat charter, and they did very well, with 15 bass being boated. All on surface lures. Only 3 bass were required for eating, so only 3 bass were killed. Wind actually finished us arriving on Q. A very pleasant morning.
