Another upside down day on the forecasting front. I awoke, and headed to horse duties, with a gentle Northerly breeze hardly rippling the channel. But the forecast had been for 20 gusting 30mph. That wind is not for lure fishing really. And not for getting to where the fish are currently living, as waves are big beyond a mile. And so I cancelled and volunteered for horse duties. So, while I was with the nags, I un-cancelled the 2nd sailing, and at 1200 returnees Richard, John and Steve were joined by new to BIF1, and cover boy, Daniel.

However, instead of dropping lighter, as the forecast had suggested, now we were all assembled the wind was fairly strong. Seas flat though, and sun shining, so, we all headed out on schedule. Limited to in quite tight, just two small bass at half time. A move to some deeper holes in quite tight resolved the action. The holes were polluted with squid and so everyone caught a feed. Just one more bass added, happily a keeper, and just reward for Daniel. Recently moved here, I suspect he too will be featuring often on these pages going forward...
