Brighton Inshore Fishing - Catch report 18th August 2025

Another day where the wind forecast dictated just the first sailing would be happening for the day. And I was quite excited for my guys, regulars Liam, Loz, David and Nick, when I saw the cloud in the sky when walking out from fishyrob HQ. But it was another quite difficult session with no birds, and no significant bait fish anywhere that I could find. However, some fish have taken to feeding hard in the cracks, and by focusing here, we managed to extract seven, with five being over 42cm. The biggest, to David at 61 cm, exceeded the BIF1 maximum kill size, and was released. Tomorrow I will mostly be focusing on one particular reef, and I suspect results will be a little better.
