First sailing, and all returnee's on board. Dave and his wife Natalie, and finally, after many postponed trips, Ryan and Shaun. I am struggling a little with the ebb tide atm, and this was no exception. I did finally find a few fish on an old favourite spot, and it was happy enough to give up eleven fish to my guys n gal. Four table sized from that. But I had better hopes of the 2nd sailing.

The lucky fishers to book this one, all about the early flood, were friends David and Matt, and their boys Arthur and Sebastien. My very high hopes weren't as realised as much as I had... erm... hoped... I think as the early flood becomes later in the day and with the tides on the smallest end of their cycle. However, my guys were super keen and super concentrating and they did manage a very respectable 20 bass, plus mackerel by-catch. 3 killed for the table on that session.

Final session, and back after a bit of a break it was my pleasure to welcome Lee, joined by regular Jude, Dave and new to BIF1, Luca. This session was the hardest for numbers. I spent a good while looking in the rocks for nothing at all, before heading back to the sand eel areas. The old favourite that helped first sailing again proved useful, with nine bass landed. However, five were for the table, with the biggest at a little over 57cm, and a new personal best, to Luca. And it was very well deserved. His level of concentration was intense, and I only had to show technique once, and he was fishing very nicely indeed. One to watch.
