Just the one sailing today. With me regulars Sam and Paul, and new to BIF1 Dereck and Daniel. A stiff ENE wind made for quite different behaviour of the sandeels, and it took me until the last hour to find any concentration of them. On the hunt, we picked out a few smalls, but in the last hour, 3 decent fish came to the boat to bring the tally to just 8 for the three hours.

I think we set a new record for the number of tails nipped off by black bream as well. One particular area is prime, and from the brief hookups, I suspect quality fish as well. I WILL go investigate with the correct tackle. Perhaps as soon as tomorrows 1000 sailing, which has spaces if anyone finds the concept of black bream on lures appealing. Message 07970 112774 if that is you.
