1st day of the open season on bass. And even as recently as yesterday afternoon , I waa finding bass easily. A short session with a friend saw 11 landed. And now, kill day, with a full boat. David, John, Mose and Joel, all keen and ready for bbq themed action. It's just... three hours later, after enduring a surprisingly bouncy sea, just the early fish to John, a pout to me, and that was it for quite a lot of running around. A real struggle.

Next up, John, Ian, Ed and Mark. Seas flatter. A bit of a stuttery start, but once the tide started moving, we finally found some more reliable fishing. Still nothing like the previous evening, but certainly a lot better than the morning session. From that, six killed.

Third session, after a lengthy absence, Terry and his friend David, and Jj and his son Zee. This session was a bit harder going, but still not as slow as the first. Especially as I threw in a lot of pouting action while hunting a possible spring coddie. But bass, just 6 landed, with four killed. Lets see what tomorrow brings. It is rather looking that the weekend and beyond are more for shore than boat though, sadly. I suspect only windsurfers will be having a happy easter.
