Brief report as busy getting stuff packed for a week of chasing barbel on the fly in Portugal starting tomorrow stupidly early. First sailing, 12 bass, and a bonus very pretty male black bream in full breeding splendour. Just 3 for the table, but 12 in 3 hours on a tiny tide, not so bad.

2nd sailing much worse, with just 3 bass, and more worryingly, three or four engine fades. I suspect something fuel related as squeezing my bulb got things moving, but I do hope my engineer finds the cause in my absence. Of those 3 bass, at least 2 were for the table. But overall, I am quite happy I am in Portugal for the rest of these tiny tides.
