Just the one sailing today, hoping to pick up from where I left off yesterday
Joining me, all regulars, John. Paul. Curteis and Jude. But sadly, and perhaps predictably, the bass had moved on. Lovely flats seas though

A secondary result of the super calms seas, was confirmation that the food source that is exciting many fish in this area, is indeed rockworms. Small pink ragworms that live in the chalk. It's their jiggy jiggy time and they scoot around often on the surface looking for love. we saw a few. And after a few stops, we finally began to find fish.

I'm typical ironical fashion though, it was the last move with just 30 minutes to run we found the bulk of the final tally. And we had to leave just as the tide began to pull on the ebb, due to an imminent dental appointment for myself . Final score, 15 quality bass landed and released.
