A very weather affected day. The 0400 alarm sounded, and was accompanied by a flashing light. Except, I don't own an alarm with a flashing light... Instead it was a real lot of lightning. Checking on the rain radar, it was clear 1st sailing would not be happening. Lightning is strangely not considered particularly safe when one is afloat in the ocean with 5 carbon rods reaching for the skies.

2nd sailing, we made it to the end
A real long hunt, until we finally found some ground which held some well scattered bass. Just 7 landed, with 3 killed plus cuttles.

3rd sailing, was some family fun, which was rather shortened by heavy rain. But we had actually started fishing cuttlefish. This meant at least the family had something to cook for tea before we ran for the marina. It is crawling with them at the moment.

I had put on a fourth sailing, to compensate for the 1st sailing. 2 of them original 4 could make it. plus Omri (new to BIF1) plus regular Dean. Fish we caught. but only 2 we killed. Best fish of the session, to Dean, at 61cm...
