Heading out with Richard, Mitch, David and Miles, we were very hopeful of a repeat of the previous days trip. However, things were different. Swell for one thing, with the remains of the swell from the previous day still present. And the sprat were further offshore this time, which meant 2 things. A bumpier ride to them, and the technique suffering badly from the boat rolling. I think that is why we only had 24 fish, plus mackerel this time. A flatter sea I suspect would have seen more hooked.

2nd Sailing, with Stewart, Pete, returning, and bringing Peter and Mike along for the ride. This one was weird. Returning to the scene of earlier captures the bass had been replaced with joey mackerel, lots of them, and zero bass attacking them. Strange. But we had to go on the hunt. This led to a lot of miles for a scrappy session, with just 7 bass landed, 3 killed. A lot of laughs though. A great crew.

3rd sailing was cancelled due to a forecast of double figure SW winds. But as I type... Grrr... Likely would have been ok
