Again just a single sailing, squeezed in before the seriously shitty weather we have as I type this arrived. Another fairly hard session. We found the smalls in a different p[ace this morning, and although tempting to stay with them, once everyone had experienced a few tugs I went off in pursuit of bigger spikey fish. TBH, there was more mackerel than bass in there.

And as yesterday, it was hard going. Just two table fish from seven landed. Fred, Richard, David and Mike were good enough to endure it even to a particularly bouncy end as the wind came a little earlier than predicted. All should change soon, when more whiting and more sprat shoals come inshore. And we have those coddies arriving any day. I am putting on another squid exploratory tomorrow at 1800 with 3 rods currently available. Text to 07970 112774 if you want to get on that one. It is to assess the squid and cuttlefish, and to try and get a good hit of small squid for the bait freezer from my perspective. many of you would just eat them whole I know. Some of you, even live...
