Brighton Inshore Fishing - Catch report 10th July 2019

Two days could not be more different. Yesteday it was a struggle to find fish, although the signs were that bait was building through the afternoon, perhaps confirmed by the last sailing being quality fishing. Today, despite having not many rods on board, all sailings were quality, with perhaps the last sailing being a struggle. Having said that, I did not do an early sailing today. It had been booked for fly popping (surface flies for bass) and you need good calm seas for that. The forecast I went to bed on actually suggested zero sailings for anything. On waking up, and finding flat calm seas, I managed to pull back all but the fly rodders.

Clinton was out for two sailings, and was rewarded with bass to 8lb. Mackie just one sailing, and he had bass to 4lb, and Chris had two sailings, for bass to 7lb. A very good day...

Borderline forecast for tomorrow, but as a result of todays forecast overstating it, I will be assuming we will be all good. Last sailing likely to be canned.
