Brighton Inshore Fishing - Catch report 21st December 2021

Just one sailing today, with the whole boat booked for Josh and Sam. I must admit, after recent not so good results, I had tried to put them off. But they weren't having any of it. They mentioned the magic phrase "We just want to get out" which would have salved my conscience quite a lot had the session been poor. However, yesterday, with an empty boat and calm seas, I popped out for a little pop around, focusing on the bass which since the season ended, I havent actually targeted. I found very little except in one spot, where I found small bass feasting on Sprat. I caught half a dozen before leaving them alone for todays fun, fully expecting and totally praying they would be there today. Which happily they were. End result, 39 bass landed, all small except for Sam's new PB, which measured 66cm, and weighed roughly on board at 7lb. A far better session than I expected.
