Brighton Inshore Fishing - Catch report 23rd July 2018

A very tough day. first sailing I was out with John and his girlfriend Nartan. We came out onto oily windless seas, but with a dying but still lively SW swell, left over from a stiff breeze during the night. It was a bit too much for Nartan, who was happy to be dropped back to shore. I buzzed John and his fly gear all over the place for nothing more than a few follows.

2nd sailing was again hard. Lee and his friend Paul were on board. We went hunting the bass but again, despite a fair fuel burn, I couldnt find any that were happy to open their mouths. Both guys fancied something to take home for tea, and a quick visit to a bank around 2 miles off shore took care of that at least. No sailings for the rest of the day, which I was happy for.
